Where do I turn for answers?

When Google, blogs, and friends aren’t enough to help you answer the specific question you have about your child, we are here to help support and guide you. Some common areas in which we work with families include:

general guidance

Sometimes we don’t even know what question we have — we just know we need support and guidance. A general consultation with one of our experts can help guide you in the right direction. Examples of recent client questions include:

  • We are experiencing _____- what do I do?

  • Who in the community offers___?

  • Where do I find support for ____?

  • My child is not ___ is that okay?

  • Can you help me understand ____?

understanding test scores & Evaluations

Do you have test results or an educational evaluation that you want to understand better? Sometimes when we first receive scores/results, it is hard to process the meaning and implications of them. We’d be happy to sit down with you to discuss the results.

school finding

Whether it is preschool through graduate school - the choices can be overwhelming. We can’t tell you which school is the best one for your family, but your path will be clearer with our extensive knowledge of area schools and our unique approach which includes:

  • Helping you establish a family education mission statement

  • Understanding your student’s learning profile

  • Helping you discover the right questions to ask

  • Supporting you through the complex processes (school zone, magnet applications, admissions testing, interviews, applications, etc.)

advocacy

Sometimes our educational system is difficult to navigate. If you think there are services your child should be receiving (Gifted, Remediation, 504/IEP, Testing, etc.), but you’ve had trouble navigating the system, we can offer guidance, support, and even accompany you to meetings to ensure your voice is heard and child’s needs will be met.
